I’ve worked multiple harvests across different countries as a cellar hand. Each experience was different — different teams, expectations, and working conditions.
Some harvests were incredibly rewarding. Others were challenging. Most were a mix of both.
What became clear over time was how little reliable information was available before accepting a seasonal position abroad.
Most insights circulate informally — through WhatsApp groups, Facebook communities, and private conversations. Jobs are shared quickly. Real experiences rarely are.
Important details stay in chat threads, context gets lost and decisions are often made with limited understanding of what the harvest will actually be like.
Rate Your Harvest was created to make those conversations more accessible — so workers can approach each harvest with greater awareness and confidence.
